AI & Data Analytics
Predictive analytics and machine learning techniques turning data into insights: demand forecasting, non-intrusive load monitoring, fault detection, safety assessment and consumer feedback.
The Centre for Energy Data Innovation (CEDI) is a research enterprise created in partnership between The University of Queensland and Redback Technologies.
The centre is industry driven, addressing energy sector challenges including data aggregation and analytics in the field of power and energy systems. Yet through collaboration with world leading research expertise at the University of Queensland, the utilisation of these smart energy technologies will profoundly change the status quo, and see new business models.
The research and development focus will be the research and development of three principal research streams: AI & Data Analytics, Advanced Visualisations, and Privacy and Security.
Predictive analytics and machine learning techniques turning data into insights: demand forecasting, non-intrusive load monitoring, fault detection, safety assessment and consumer feedback.
Human-centred design of energy data visualisations, turning insights into actions for networks and customers. Customer-facing energy dashboards, network-facing asset management dashboards, augmented and virtual reality.
Privacy and security by design for the emerging future of high-granularity energy use data. Analysis of smart grid security risks, user-centred design of privacy-preserving consent mechanisms for sharing energy and energy use data.
